ഇരുന്നൂറോളം ആത്മഹത്യകള്‍ക്ക് കാരണമായ ഒരു ഗാനമുണ്ട്! ‘ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേ’. ഹംഗേറിയന്‍ കവിയായ ലാസ്ലോ ജാവോര്‍ തന്റെ കാമുകിക്കുവേണ്ടി എഴുതിയ ഈ കവിത റെസോയി സെറിസിന്റെ സംഗീതസംവിധാനത്തില്‍ പുറത്തുവന്നതോടെയാണ് ആത്മഹത്യകള്‍ക്ക് തുടക്കംകുറിച്ചത്. ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേയുടെ സംഗീത റെക്കോഡ് വന്‍ ഹിറ്റായി മാറി. കവിത സംഗീതമായി പുറത്തുവന്ന് കുറച്ച് ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ ജാവോറിന്റെ കാമുകി ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തു. ആത്മഹത്യാക്കുറിപ്പില്‍ ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേയെക്കുറിച്ച് സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ ഹംഗറിയിലെ ഒരു ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ സ്വയം വെടിവെച്ചുമരിച്ചു. മുറിയില്‍ നിന്നും അയാള്‍ കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേയുടെ റെക്കോഡ് കണ്ടെടുത്തു.

സംഭവം നടന്ന് ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ഒരു പെണ്‍കുട്ടി വിഷം കഴിച്ചു. അബോധാവസ്ഥയില്‍ കിടക്കുമ്പോഴും അവളുടെ മുറിയിലെ ഗ്രാമഫോണ്‍ റെക്കോഡില്‍ നിന്നും ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേ പാടുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ബുഡാപെസ്റ്റിലെ ഒരു റെസ്റ്റോറന്റില്‍ ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേ ആലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഒരു ഗായകസംഘം. അതു കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരന്‍ സ്വയം വെടിവെച്ചുമരിച്ചു.

1968ല്‍ ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേ കേട്ട ഒരാള്‍ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ കെട്ടിടത്തിന്റെ മുകളില്‍ നിന്നും ചാടി മരിച്ചു. ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേ പൊതുവേദികളില്‍ ആലപിക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ലെന്ന് ഹംഗേറിയന്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഉത്തരവിട്ടു. പക്ഷേ, ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടില്‍ ആത്മഹത്യകള്‍ തുടര്‍ന്നുകൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു. അമേരിക്കയില്‍ ആത്മഹത്യകള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും അവിടെ ഗാനം നിരോധിച്ചില്ല. ബി ബി സിയും ഈ ഗാനം നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഗ്ലൂമി സണ്‍ഡേയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഏകദേശം 200 ആത്മഹത്യകള്‍ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലായി നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.

There are a few font conversion services on the web that will convert your handwritten alphabet and other characters to a standard font pack. However, many of these services cost money. One free font creator service that works fairly nice is MyScriptFont.

To get started, navigate to the MyScriptFont homepage. From there, click the Download the template link.

From here, the website will launch a new PDF based webpage containing the font template. Using the recommended directions from the website, print the template, fill in the letters and characters with your own handwriting and scan the finished template back to your computer as grayscale 300dpi, JPG or PNG format.

The feature, which was already available on the desktop, has been live for about six months now, according to a representative. Just click the "x" button in the top right of the advertisement.

The Atlantic noted this change after writing an article about how annoying the Facebook mobile ads were.

Additionally, more options are on the way. In the next two or three weeks, Facebook will start offering the "x" button for ads designed to get people to install mobile apps, and for ads that show up when your friends have "liked" a page.

These features will land on iOS first, followed by Android.

According to Facebook, it's about enhancing people's control over the content they see, while also letting advertisers better target customers. about:plugins എന്ന് അഡ്രസ് ബാറിലടിച്ച് ഈ ഒപ്ഷനുകളെടുക്കാം. ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട പ്ലഗിനുകളുടെ ലിസ്റ്റ് കാണാനാവും. ഇവയുടെ താഴെ disable എന്നത് ചെക്ക് ചെയ്ത് ഡിസേബിള്‍ ചെയ്യാം.
ഇവ പിന്നീട് വേണമെങ്കില്‍ എനേബിള്‍ ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്.
2. എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷനുകള്‍ ഡിസേബിള്‍ ചെയ്യുക.
ക്രോമില്‍ ലഭ്യമായ ഒട്ടേറെ എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷനുകളുണ്ട്. ഇവ പലതും വളരെ ഉപകാരപ്പെടുന്നവയുമാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ അനേകമെണ്ണം എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷനുകള്‍ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അവ ബ്രൗസര്‍ സ്ലോ ആക്കും. ടൂള്‍ബാറില്‍ ഡിസ്പ്ലേ ചെയ്യുന്ന എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷന്‍ ഐക്കണുകളില്‍ ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്ത് നേരിട്ട് അവ ഒഴിവാക്കാം. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ മെനുവില്‍ Settings -> Extensions എടുക്കുക. അവയില്‍ എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷന് താഴെ ചെക്ക് ചെയ്ത് ഡിസേബിള്‍ ചെയ്യാം.

3. ബ്രൗസിങ്ങ് ഡാറ്റ ഒഴിവാക്കുക
ബ്രൗസര്‍ ഹിസ്റ്ററി ഡാറ്റബേസില്‍ യുആര്‍.എലുകളും, കുക്കിസും, ടെക്സ്റ്റുകളുമൊക്കെയുണ്ടാകും. ഇത് ചിലപ്പോള്‍ വളരെ അധികം സ്പേസ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നുണ്ടാകും. ഇത് ക്ലിയര്‍ ചെയ്താല്‍ സ്പീഡില്‍ മാറ്റം വരും.
settings > History എടുത്ത് ഇത് ചെയ്യാം. (Tools > Clear browsing data)
ബ്രൗസിങ്ങ് ഹിസ്റ്ററി ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക്കായി ക്ലിയര്‍ ചെയ്യാം

വേണമെങ്കില്‍ ക്രോമില്‍ നിന്ന് എക്സിറ്റ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക്കായി ഹിസ്റ്ററി ക്ലിയര്‍ ചെയ്യും വിധം സെറ്റ് ചെയ്യാം. ഇതിന് clickclean എന്ന എക്സ്റ്റന്‍ഷന്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാല്‍ മതി.
