Am back after a short break. Lets tweak forward.

Whoa! It’s been about half a year I’ve been away! I cannot believe that I took such a long break from blogging. I am sure neither can you, but I am glad to be back. :)

I hope you all are doing great and are in the best of your health and spirits. You have been in my heart and thoughts all the time.

Honestly, I have missed you all and I confess that I did want to resume blogging hardly midway during my summer break. I had to do a lot of self-convincing to hold myself back!

There is always a lot to do in blogging. I know I have missed a lot, but it is never too late, because you can re-start anytime, and there is always scope for lots of work and progress.

My mantra is to be positive. I always look ahead – the past is only there to teach us lessons, and you should never let it bog you down or make you sad.

You experience real happiness by being in the present moment and in your positive attitude about the future.

Instead of the missed opportunities, I see great scope and possibilities.

Optimism is not an option but a compulsory quality to have in life for success, growth, and to bring happiness into your life.

Before I start blabbering about what’s new on the blog and brief you about my fresh blogging plans, I should have to thank ma Russian and Israeli friends who supported me through out my break by providing cracks, news and their credit card access for ma purchases.

Thanks  #Zukernivic  #Madikeli  #Benchamin  #Tom crusifer   and  #Rashtrik.

Starting New Blog Features

Aha!NOW is blessed with a great blog community. I am grateful to all the visitors, readers, and commentators for creating such an active and engaging environment.
It’s no secret that the interactions and discussions are the key features of Aha!NOW that perhaps makes it a little different from other blogs.
We decided to work on our strengths and develop it further. We looked for a few options to enhance the interactions and discussions on the blog, and settled on two of them.

A Few More Blog Changes

There are a few changes that might not be very obvious but I hope they will be welcomed by the Aha!NOW blog community.

Commenting System

The other biggest change we made was replacing the CommentLuv commenting system with the Jetpack commenting system.
I can see a few raised eyebrows, frowns, quizzed, surprised and all kinds of looks on the faces of my blogging friends!
Don’t get me wrong – CommentLuv commenting system is great and I still recommend it, especially for the newbie bloggers – to adopt it in their initial blogging days.
I am going to try out the new commenting system to see the results, or else would be back with CommentLuv of course. :)
You can even read about it in his post about how to moderate comments.
I did my best to mend and sort the broken links, but I wanted a commenting system that would bring more comfort and convenience at this stage of blogging.
I surveyed and found that most WordPress users opt either for the native WordPress or Jetpack commenting system.
The edge Jetpack has is that it allows social logins, which I’m sure will help many of my non-blogging audience.
I am sure that all bloggers are aware of Google’s recent changes in linking policy and the emphasis on co-citation and co-occurrence. You never know that Google might take the Russian road and decide to make a linkless web.
In any case, the link love that you receive from the Aha!NOW forum profile page and from within the blog posts will be of much higher value.
I think you would succeed more in taking people back to your blog by actively participating in the community activities including forums, than just by leaving the post links in the comments.

Thumps up badge

Achievement System

I always wanted to give back to my community and reward them. That’s why I chose an achievement and badging system.
Now, the registered community members will get points and earn badges for their activities on the blog, interactions with the community, and discussions on the forums.
You can maximize your points earning potential by contributing your knowledge and experience, as well as by increasing your participation in the community activities.
I’m in the process of creating and finalizing the rules for this system, but for now, I’d suggest you try out all the new features of the blog to start earning points.
I’m planning the incentives and awards for the achievers.
Besides the badges, I’m thinking of providing an opportunity to feature the top achievers as guest bloggers on Aha!NOW and have some free giveaways to the Aha!NOW community members.
Look out for the newsletter where I’ll inform you about the final achievement and award point system.
If you aren’t yet a subscriber, you can join now by subscribing to the newsletter to keep in touch with the latest developments at the blog

How to Update Samsung Galaxy Y to Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 Official firmware

The latest official Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware update for Galaxy Y S5360 has rolled out recently and is now available for installation. This is an official firmware update for Galaxy Y from Samsung and so it can be easily applied to your device – that is of course if the update has rolled out in your country. You can apply the OTA Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware update on your Galaxy Y via KIES. But if the  Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware update for Galaxy Y is not yet available in your country, or if you can’t apply the OTA update for any other reason – then you can manually update your Galaxy Y to Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware by following our step-by-step guide provided below.
GT-S5360MALTTT_2
To install Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware on Galaxy Y, we will be using Odin utility – which is the best program we recommend for applying official updates like this one. Why? Because you don’t need to have your Galaxy Y rooted or factory unlocked or anything. Don’t worry, this will still work if you have your Galaxy Y rooted or unlocked, but since this is an official firmware update for Galaxy Y – you’re device will be un-rooted and get factory locked again. Back to the way it was when it first came in. Before we begin with the guide for updating Galaxy Y S5360 to Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware, It is recommended that you back up all your data such as – Contacts, Call logs, APN settings, SMSs, Images/songs and other files as their is a risk of your data getting wiped out during the update.
Done with backing up your stuff? Cool – Let’s get Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 latest firmware on your Galaxy Y S5360
Disclaimer: Although this is an official firmware update for Galaxy Ace Plus – there is still a risk of your device getting damaged since you are doing it manually. If so, we will not be held responsible. Please proceed at your own will.

Preparations

  • Make sure you have the original USB cable that came with your Galaxy Y for connecting the device with your computer
  • You must have all the phone drivers installed on your computer to support your Galaxy Y
  • Turn on USB debugging on your Galaxy Y by going to path: Settings > Developer options > USB Debugging
  • Keep your phone charged to a minimum of 85% so it doesn’t turn off during the Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 firmware update

Downloads

Steps to install Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 official firmware update on Galaxy Y S5360

Step 1 - Put your Galaxy Y in download mode by pressing Volume down + Home button + Power button and as soon as you see the construction bot, leave all keys and press Volume Up. Your Galaxy Y is now in download mode.
Step 2 - Launch Odin program and connect your Galaxy Y to the computer via the USB cable. You should see an “Added!!” message in the bottom left of Odin and a yellow number should appear in the COM section – this means that the connection was successful.
Step 3 - Now Click PDA in Odin and select the .tar.md5 file you extracted on your desktop. Similarly, click Phone and select the file that has modem in its name, Click CSC and select the file with csc in its name, select PIT and select the .pit file.
Step 4 – Tick-mark Auto Reboot, F. reset and Re-partition. Recheck everything just to be safe, you can now click start to begin the firmware update.
Good job. The installation will take about 4-5 minutes to complete, after that your Galaxy Y will automatically reboot into the Gingerbread 2.3.6 XXLK3 official firmware – if you’re Galaxy Y gets stuck in boot loop or anything, just reinsert the battery and reboot.

How to Root (and Unroot) the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (S6102)

How to Root (and Unroot) the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (S6102)

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is a dual-SIMed newer sibling of the popular Galaxy Y and while there are any high-end features to write home about, it does suffice nicely for a entry-level device that has the major aspects Android covered.  The device sports  a 3.14-inch touchscreen display, an 832MHz CPU with 512MB RAM, and runs the age-old Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread firmware.  If you want to try something newer like ICS or even Jelly Bean on it, custom ROMs is the only way to go and to get there, you need to root the device and install a custom recovery on it.  Use the guide below to know how to root (and unroot if needed) the Galaxy Y Duos S6102. This guide only explains how to root and unroot galaxy y duos. And this is posted for you Rinu Abdul Rasheed.

I.  Before You Begin

1.  Back up everything you feel is important before you begin.
2.  Make sure you have charged your device to 75% or more before you begin.

II.  Necessary Downloads

1.  update.zip [File attached to this post]
2.  unroot.zip [File attached to this post]

III.  Rooting the Galaxy Y Duos

1.  Connect your device to your PC using a microUSB cable and copy the update.zip file you downloaded above to your SD card (Do not put it into any subfolders, just the main folder so the path is sdcard/update.zip).
2.  Power down your device and put it into recovery mode.  To do this, press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power keys until you see the Samsung Galaxy Y logo and let them go after that.
3.  Use the Volume buttons to highlight “select update.zip from sdcard” and press the home button to select it.
4.  On the next screen, select update.zip, and then select Yes on the next screen.
5.  Once the flashing is done, go back to the main menu and reboot your device.
That’s it!  Your Galaxy Y Duos is now rooted!

IV.  Unrooting the Galaxy Y Duos

1. Uninstall all [Root] apps.
2. Download "unroot.zip"
3. Do as directed above..
4. This time select unroot.zip

Thats all.............................
